|  | | These Bi-Directional silicon "Avalanche" diodes have a closely controlled breakdown voltage, which means that they are normally "off", then conduct current heavily when the voltage across them reaches the "avalanche" point. Originally intended for protecting sensitive electronics from transients induced by lightning and
other over-voltage conditions, these make great electrical noise suppressors when wired across your motors.We offer these TVS devices in three voltage ratings to suit 6V, 7.2V, 12V and 24V battery systems.

| FERRITE BEADS | | |
|  | | Ferrite beads increase the impedance to Radio Frequency (RF) signals of any wire passed through them. If located around the motor supply wires very close to the motor terminals, they will reduce the amount of RFI radiated from the supply wires.
Two turns through and around the bead will double the impedance and correspondingly reduce the RFI. A double turn arrangement is highly recommended as it becomes a simple transformer. The RF current in one motor lead will tend to cancel out the RF current in the other.

| SUPPRESSION CAPACITORS | | |
|  | | Small devices that store electrical energy for short periods of time. They have the characteristic that their impedance (resistance to alternating current flow) decreases with increasing frequency. And when the frequency is zero (i.e. Direct Current or D.C.), such as your battery, their impedance is infinite, i.e. they pass no DC current.
When wired across your motor terminals, they will have no effect at DC. but will act as low impedance to the RF interference signals generated by the motor.
