Our ultra high performance SFX6 module is the FIRST and ONLY  R/C sound module to playback with 16 bit samples, 46875 samples/second AND plays two sounds at this rate simultaneously. It can also play back up to four sounds simultaneously at 23437 samples/second.

These modules offer TWO completely independent throttle controlled engine sounds which are proportional to two throttle stick positions. Both forwards only (e.g. model aircraft) and forwards/reverse (e.g. model boats and tanks) are accommodated. In addition, up to four additional sounds can be controlled using a spare proportional channel or up to 8 additional sounds using one on/off channel.

Remote Volume Control is possible if eitherThrottle2 or ChannelSelect2 inputs are not used.

You can download your own sounds to this module using its USB interface and the user friendly SFXPC3 Windows 7/Vista/Windows XP 32 bit only application. 
A mini-B USB port is on-board.

This module is targeted at model planes, helicopters, boats, tanks, and trains and operates from 10 - 26Volts.  On-board digital volume control buttons can be used to adjust the maximum volume/power to suit any loudspeaker.

One to four additional on-board switched outputs can be purchased for CAD$8.00 each that can be used to flash LEDs in sync. with sounds for gunnery, or Morse code applications, or to switch other auxiliary circuits. These outputs are also user configurable to switch on all the time while their respective sound clips are on. See our white and red/orange Power LEDS to go with these flasher outputs.

It comes pre-installed with various Sound Clips that you can choose from our extensive
Sound Clip Library or send your own favourites to us for pre-installation (free of charge).
If the sound you want is not in our current library, tell us what you want and we'll see if we can find it for you.

It includes a CD-ROM with a Windows 7/ Vista/XP SFXPC3 application and some free sound editors.  Also included are two 300mm long servo leads with a male Futaba style connector on BOTH ends. These are sufficient for two R/C channels e.g. one Throttle input and the Channel Select input. Extra cables for a second Throttle input are available at CAD$4.00 each. The mini-B USB port to connect to the PC is the same as used on most digital cameras so you can use the USB cable that came with the camera. We can also supply a mini-B USB cable at CAD$12.99. 

Please NOTE: The module is completely plug and play - you need only to setup the throttle control using an easy button setup procedure. You DO NOT have to connect it to a PC at all if you do not want to change the sounds or its configuration. However, if you wish, you can use the powerful, yet easy to use, SFXPC3 Windows application to configure and download your own sounds and to set the many configurable options on the SFX6 module.

Be sure to also order any extra male - male servo cables and optional LED flasher outputs, LEDs, switched outputs, other cables and loudspeakers.

No additional external circuitry is required. They are provided by us for the charge of CAD$8.00 each when ordered at the same time as an SFX6 module.  They cannot be added once the sound module has been shipped.

These fast acting Schottky diodes are rated for a reverse voltage of 50V so are able to handle any inductive kickback likely to be generated from loads that our modules can switch.

Connect them in reverse across the load so that in normal operation they do not conduct, but when the current is shut off, they conduct the inductive kickback and so prevent it from entering the sound module.

Failure to protect a sound module by not using these diodes VOIDS the sound module warranty.

The SFX6 sound module can interpret certain GPS messages to ascertain its latitude, longitude and speed. When the sound module and GPS receiver are first powered up, after the GPS receiver has acquired a satellite fix, the "home" or "base" location is stored. Subsequently, as the model airplane or boat are moving around, the sound module can be configured to apply artificial Doppler frequency shift enhancement so that the model sounds as though it is going much faster than it's actual speed. As it approaches the "home" location, the sounds will be shifted higher in frequency, and as it recedes from the "home" location, the sounds will be shifted lower in frequency.

The SFXPC3 Windows software that comes with the sound module is used to configure a "Model Speed Multiplier"  E.G. if the model's actual speed is 25 km/hr, it can be configured to sound as though it is travelling at 250km/hr. The speed multiplier can be anywhere from 2 to 10 times.

Printed instructions are included with the GPS module.

The SFX6.3 sound module includes two of these cables - one for a Throttle input and one for a Channel Select Input.

One of these cables is required for each additional R/C input you wish to use. E.G. one for each throttle input and one for each channel select input.
